Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2, 2026
These terms cover the use of Inspecta: the assessment software a mold company puts on its own website, and the assessment a homeowner completes there.
For homeowners: what the assessment is
The assessment is a preliminary, automated evaluation based only on the answers and photos you submit. It is not an inspection, a laboratory test or a professional diagnosis, and no person has reviewed your submission unless the company tells you otherwise.
It will not tell you what species anything is, whether your home is safe, or what any of it means for your health. Those questions need a qualified professional who has been to the property. Where a cost range is shown it is a preliminary estimate produced from the company’s own configured rates — it is not a binding quote, and conditions that cannot be seen in a photograph routinely change the real scope and price.
By submitting the form you agree to be contacted by that company about your assessment, and you can ask them to stop at any time.
Accounts
An account is for business use by someone at least 18 years old with authority to act for the company. One account maps to one company workspace, several locations means several accounts, and you are responsible for what happens under your sign-in.
Free trial
Any plan starts with 30 days free, and no card is needed to start. The trial also carries a cap of 15 completed assessments, whichever comes first. One trial applies per company account.
If you add a card during the trial, the first charge falls on the day the original 30 days end — adding it earlier neither charges you sooner nor extends the trial. We email you before the trial ends. If you do nothing, the account simply stops accepting new assessments and you owe nothing; everything already captured stays in your dashboard.
Plans, assessments and overages
Plans are quoted monthly, and annual billing is ten months paid for twelve. Each plan includes a monthly number of assessments. An assessment counts when it is completed and a report is produced — a visitor who opens the widget and leaves does not count, and neither does a duplicate submission from a double-tapped button.
Going over the allowance does not switch your widget off and no homeowner is turned away. Additional assessments are charged at the published overage rate and added to the next invoice. Changing plans mid-period takes effect immediately when you move up, with the difference charged for the remainder of the period, and at the end of the paid period when you move down.
If a payment fails we email you and your account keeps working for three days while you update the card. After that the account stops accepting new assessments until payment succeeds. Your leads, reports and settings are never deleted for non-payment.
Cancellation
Plans run month to month and you can cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan keeps running until the end of the period you have already paid for. Fees already invoiced for a period that has been used are not refunded.
Acceptable use
- Install the widget only on a website you own or are authorized to change.
- Do not use it unlawfully, or to collect information you have no basis to collect.
- Do not present an assessment as an inspection, a laboratory result or a professional diagnosis, and do not edit one to remove its limitations.
- Do not resell, sublicense or redistribute the software or the assessments it produces as a service of your own.
- Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the product, or to reach another company's data.
Your responsibilities as a customer
What your widget says, the rates you configure, the branding you upload and the way you follow up on a lead are yours. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload, for the accuracy of the rates that drive your estimates, and for complying with the rules that govern how you contact people — consent, do-not-call, marketing and recording laws included.
Homeowner submissions in your account are personal information belonging to the people who sent them. Handle them accordingly, and give those people a way to reach you.
Assessments are automated
Assessments are generated by an AI model from what the homeowner submitted, then checked by our software to keep them from diagnosing a condition, naming a species or making health claims. That checking reduces the risk of a bad answer; it does not remove it. Automated output can be wrong, incomplete or unavailable.
Treat every assessment as triage that helps you decide where to send a professional, not as a finding you can rely on or repeat to a customer as fact. Preliminary estimates are arithmetic applied to your own rates and are not quotes.
Content and rights
Homeowners keep ownership of their photos and details; submitting them lets us process them to produce the assessment and pass it to the company they contacted. You keep ownership of your brand, your configuration and the leads captured in your account. We keep ownership of the software, and nothing here transfers it.
Webhooks and other destinations
If you configure a webhook, we send lead and report data to the address you supply, signed so you can verify it came from us. Choosing that destination, securing the signing secret and everything that happens to the data once it arrives are your responsibility.
Third-party services
The product depends on other services: hosting, file storage, sign-in, an AI model provider and email delivery. Their terms govern their part, and an outage or change at one of them can interrupt the product.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used unlawfully, or that puts the service or other customers at risk. You may stop using the product at any time. Closing an account means asking us to delete it: we remove its leads, assessments, reports, uploaded photos, widgets and settings, and links to its reports stop working. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what that covers and what backups mean for it. Export anything you need first.
Disclaimer
The product is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the product will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that an assessment will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data. Our total liability arising out of the product is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which is nothing where the product has been used free of charge.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with them. Continuing to use the product after that means the updated terms apply.

If you completed an assessment on a company’s website, that company holds your submission and is the fastest route to having it corrected or deleted. Their name and contact details appear on the assessment you used and on the report you received.
